Setting Up the Metricgram Bot

After connecting your group, you do not need to configure anything else in the standard Metricgram bot to start using Metricgram. If the group already appears as connected, Metricgram can begin collecting data and showing stats.

What is already done

• The bot is already added to the group as an admin
• Metricgram can already start tracking activity and showing stats
• Later, you can configure automations such as welcome messages, automatic replies, summaries, or chatbots from the dashboard

When to check the bot

It is only worth reviewing the bot if something is not working as expected:

• The group does not appear or does not finish connecting
• Stats are not updating
• An automation is not running correctly

In that case, check in Telegram that the bot is still in the group and still has admin permissions.

Optional custom bot

If you want a specific group to send Metricgram messages through your own Telegram bot, you can configure a custom bot token in that group's settings. See Setting Up a Custom Bot.
