Common Issues and Solutions
Use this checklist to troubleshoot the most common problems using the real Metricgram flows.
Group Not Appearing in Dashboard
- Make sure you added @metric_gram_bot to a group, not to a channel.
- Confirm the bot was added as an administrator.
- Check that you used the same Telegram account linked to Metricgram.
- If the group was already connected, use Refresh groups in Metricgram to update the visible group data.
- If you reached your plan's group limit, remove another group or upgrade from Billing & Limits.
Stats or Messages Not Updating
- Verify the bot is still in the group as an administrator.
- Send a new message in the group to confirm Metricgram receives recent activity.
- Use Refresh groups if the title, photo, description, or member count is stale.
- If the account owner is inactive or no longer has access to the required plan, the bot may leave the group automatically.
Welcome Messages Not Sending
- Open Welcome and confirm the welcome is saved and enabled.
- Check that the bot can send messages in the group.
- Private welcomes can only be delivered in supported flows, such as Metricgram invite links in private groups or public groups with new member approval enabled.
- If the user blocked the bot or cannot receive private messages, Metricgram cannot deliver the private welcome.
Scheduled Messages Not Delivered
- Check your time zone in Settings; scheduling uses your account time zone.
- Check the message status: pending, sending, sent, failed, or paused.
- If the message is private, it can only be delivered to users the bot can message.
- Verify the bot can send messages in the selected group or topic.
Custom Bot Not Working
- Confirm the token was copied completely from @BotFather.
- Add your custom bot as an administrator in the same group.
- Save the token from Group settings.
- If you regenerate or revoke the token in BotFather, update or remove it in Metricgram too.
