Managing Paid Subscriptions

Create subscription plans to monetize your Telegram group and manage paid access for your community members.

Creating a Subscription Plan

1. Navigate to your group's Monetization > Plans section.
2. Click "Create Plan".
3. Configure the plan:

- Name -- e.g., "Premium Access", "VIP Membership"

- Price -- monthly or yearly amount

- Currency -- based on your Stripe account settings

- Description -- what subscribers get

1. Save and publish the plan.

How Subscriptions Work

1. You share the subscription link with potential members.
2. They complete payment through a Stripe-hosted checkout page.
3. After payment, Metricgram automatically sends a Telegram group invitation link.
4. The member joins the group and is tagged as a subscriber.
5. Renewals are handled automatically by Stripe.

Managing Active Subscriptions

From the Subscribers section you can:

• View all active, canceled, and expired subscriptions
• Manually cancel a subscription
• Resend invitation links
• See payment history for each subscriber

Handling Failed Payments

When a payment fails:

• Stripe automatically retries the charge
• Metricgram notifies you and the subscriber
• After final retry failure, the subscription is canceled and the member can be removed automatically

Tips

• Offer a free trial period to reduce friction for new subscribers.
• Create multiple tiers (Basic, Premium, VIP) to capture different willingness to pay.
