Setting Up Gamification

Gamification turns your Telegram group into an engaging experience where members earn points, level up, and compete on leaderboards.

Enabling Gamification

1. Go to your group's Gamification section in the sidebar.
2. Click "Enable Gamification".
3. Configure the basic settings:

- Points per message -- how many points members earn for each message

- Points per reaction -- points earned when their message receives a reaction

- Daily cap -- maximum points a member can earn per day (prevents spam)

1. Save your settings.

What Gets Tracked

Metricgram awards points for various activities:

• Sending messages -- the core engagement metric
• Receiving replies -- conversations they spark
• Media sharing -- photos, videos, documents
• Streak bonuses -- consecutive days of activity

Initial Setup Tips

• Start simple -- enable basic points per message first, then add complexity
• Announce it -- let your group know about the new gamification system
• Set a daily cap to discourage spam and encourage quality participation
• Create a few levels and rewards before enabling (see related articles)

Important Notes

• Points are calculated from the moment gamification is enabled. Past activity is not retroactively scored.
• Gamification settings can be changed at any time. Existing points are preserved when you adjust the rules.
